He initially studied law at the University of Lausanne and was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1995. He has continuously expanded his expertise to include new legal specialties such as trust legislation, and has also built in-depth market knowledge for Latin America and the Asian-Pacific region. Prior to joining KENDRIS as a founding partner, Stéphane Masson was Head of KPMG private Romandie. From 1995 onwards he served as Legal Counsel for commercial and private law both at Price Waterhouse Coopers Geneva and KPMG legal Switzerland. He was admitted to the bar after a traineeship at Poncet, Turrettini, Amaudruz & Neyroud and started his professional career as a lawyer to the Secretary General of the Departement of Economy of the State of Vaud. Stéphane Masson is married and has twin girls born in 2002. He enjoys wine and cigars, but is also an avid swimmer and in winter often goes skiing with his family.
