Foundations
The foundation allows you to designate a portion of your wealth for a special purpose:
- Insure family members against a change in circumstances of life.
- Pursue charitable or non-profit objectives.
- Finance a charitable institution designated by the founder after his or her death.
The material elements of the foundation include having its own assets, a specific purpose and in addition – in contrast to the trust – an independent legal character.
