Konrad Häuptli graduated from the University of Berne, is an attorney at law and admitted as a barrister in the Canton of Berne. He attended several international postgraduate studies in law and business administration, such as at the Georgetown University Washington DC. He joined HSBC in 2002 after working at Swiss Re as in-house attorney at law and tax expert specialised in corporate and commercial law and tax matters for over 20 years. He was the CEO of HSBC Trust Companies in Switzerland from 2005 to 2012 and was also a member of the HSBC Global Wealth Solutions Executive Committee. Konrad Häuptli joined KENDRIS in 2016 after his retirement from HSBC Private Bank SA. He is a member of mixed expert groups (AEoI, FATCA, QI) and represents the Swiss Association of Trust Companies in Berne, at the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters and at the Swiss Federal Tax Administration. Konrad Karl Häuptli has been managing the assets of families, has been involved in entrepreneurial activities, board assignments and private equity investments. He writes blogs and flashes on regulatory topics and is a frequent speaker with a large network in various industries and markets.
